Meet the Morris Family
(Tim, Rebecca, Rivers & Loghan)

The Morris family has built their lives around faith, love, and serving others. Today, they find themselves leaning on the same compassion and generosity they have always shared with their community.

Tim was born in Houma and moved to Lafayette as a teenager, where he has proudly called home ever since. He will celebrate his 46th birthday on August 21—with every intention of celebrating many more. A devoted husband, father, and avid outdoorsman, Tim enjoys fishing, hunting, and spending time with family and friends. Throughout his life, he has been willing to lend a helping hand, whether through physical service, volunteering, or serving on the boards of charitable organizations dedicated to improving the lives of others.

Today, Tim is courageously battling Stage IV colorectal cancer and is currently undergoing chemotherapy as he continues the fight against this disease. Due to the physical demands of his illness and ongoing treatments, he is no longer able to work, creating a significant financial burden from mounting medical expenses and lost income.

Rebecca serves as the office manager for Hamilton Homes and has recently accepted a second job as a third-grade English Language Arts teacher at a local Catholic school, where she will begin her first year this fall. While working two jobs to provide for her family, she is also caring for their home, supporting Tim through his treatments, and navigating the daily challenges that come with his diagnosis.

Together, Tim and Rebecca are raising two incredible children. Tim has lovingly helped raise Rebecca's 18-year-old son, Rivers, since he was three years old. Rivers is beginning his first year of college and enjoys staying active through fitness. Their 12-year-old daughter, Loghan, is beginning eighth grade at ARCA. She brings extraordinary joy, resilience, and a unique light to their family every day. Her compassion, kindness, and genuine care for others inspire everyone who knows her.
